Atelier announces adaptation layer for new Series 60 Platform telephony architecture

Atelier offers layered telephony adaptation components for Series 60 2.8 and 3.x

Atelier, the leading provider of wireless software solutions for Symbian(tm) OS, today announced a portfolio of telephony adaptation layer components for Series 60 2.8 and 3.x based on the new Series 60 Layered architecture. The Series 60 Layered Architecture provides optimized telephony integration for Series 60 phones and an upgrade path for future Series 60 releases. The Atelier offering complements this architecture by providing the compliant lower layer interface to the cellular baseband.

The Atelier suite of telephony adaptation components comprises a Licensee TSY (LTSY) based on the Series 60 Common TSY architecture and compatible with the new Series 60 Generic NIF, a complete SIM Application Toolkit TSY, a kernel-side 3GPP 27.010 multiplexer based on the Series 60 Inter System Communication (ISC) architecture, a licensee CSY (LCSY) and a suite of DSYs for different customer architectures.

The Atelier 3GPP 27.010 multiplexing ISC will be available at the end of 2004 and other components in the suite are targeted for the first quarter of 2005.
