Atelier licenses TSY Telephony
Subsystems for Series 60 Platform to
Texas Instruments
Atelier TSY for the Series 60 Platform
integrated in TI OMAP-based reference
designs and development platforms

Atelier, the leading expert in telephony
software for Symbian OS™,
today announced that Atelier has
licensed its Symbian OS 2.5G telephony
subsystem to Texas Instruments
Incorporated (TI).
Under the agreement, Texas Instruments
will gain access to Atelier’s telephony
software intellectual property for
Symbian OS comprising TSY telephony
module, Multiplexing CSY and Series 60
DSY components, for use with all TI GPRS
digital basebands.
“Symbian OS and Series 60 OMAP-based
solutions continue to gain traction in
the wireless market,” said Paul Werp,
worldwide director of marketing for TI’s
OMAP platform. “TI’s reference designs
and Atelier’s telephony software provide
a foundation for OEMs to bring Symbian
and Series 60-based solutions to market
quickly.”
Atelier has worked closely with Texas
Instruments to optimize its software
components for the recently announced
TCS2600 GSM/GPRS reference design based
on the OMAP730 digital baseband and TI’s
Innovator Development Kit for the Series
60 Platform, providing Texas Instruments
OEM/ODM customers with complete
OMAP-based hardware and software
reference designs for Series 60 and
Symbian OS-based smartphones.

portfolio includes TSYs which fully
implement Symbian OS ETEL and Nokia
Series 60 telephony APIs, 3GPP 27.010
multiplexing CSY and Series 60 DSY
components.
